چکیده

This work presents an investigation of kinetics copper leaching from mill tailings with hydrochloric acid and sodium hypochlorite at room temperature in filtration mode. The concentration varied 0.05 to 0.5 M 0.025 0.1 respectively. When the samples were leached sequence five-hour solutions acid, then six-hour hypochlorite, maximum degree extraction into solution was 32.62 %. And case inverse direction, a for two hours, seven 87.10 % extracted, which is 2.67 times more than previous case. It has been shown that using reagents significant impact on efficiency tailings.

Removal of copper (II) from aqueous solutions by sodium alginate/hydroxy apatite hydrogel modified by Zeolite

The study presented in this article investigated the removal of copper ions from aqueous solutions by a synthetic hydrogel-forming adsorbent polymer based on sodium alginate (SA) and hydroxy apatite (HA) nanoparticles. The effect of adding Zeolite on the adsorption performance of this hydrogel was also investigated, and the optimum amount of Zeolite was determined by changing its quantity. The ...

Recovery of Copper from Copper Slag and Copper Slag Flotation Tailings by Oxidative Leaching

Copper smelter slag and copper smelter slag flotation tailings were leached using sulphuric acid solutions, without or with the addition of either ferric sulphate or hydrogen peroxide. Copper extraction from the slag was typically found to be twice as high as that from the slag flotation tailings. Hydrogen peroxide was determined to be the best lixiviant. Thus, copper and iron extractions were ...

Effect of Hydrochloric Acid on Leaching Behavior of Calcareous Phosphorites

The bulk of the world's phosphate reserves is located in sedimentary horizons that contain appreciable amounts of carbonate. During beneficiation of phosphate rocks, huge amounts of oversize phosphate rocks are rejected from crushers. This reject also mostly contains low tricalcium phosphate and high carbonate content. In this study, experiments have been carried out to reduce/eliminate car...

Persistent asthma after inhalation of a mixture of sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid.

Chlorine gas inhalation can lead to temporary mucous membrane irritation, pulmonary edema, and transient bronchospasm. Existence of respiratory sequelae is debated. We report a case of asthma, persisting 2 years after the inhalation of a mixture of sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid. Bronchial histologic findings and transmission electron microscopy examinations showed uncommon abnormali...
